DESCRIPTION OF PRACTICE
Alexandra joined the Law Office of David C. Anderson in 2008, and practices trust and estate law, probate, and litigation. In this capacity, Alexandra helps our individual and family clients with the planning of charitable and personal gifts, trusts, estates, and business succession. In addition, Alexandra also represents our clients in probate court and before the Internal Revenue Service. Alexandra is bilingual (English-Spanish) and assists with international estate planning.

- University of California, San Diego, B.A., 1999 (History & Latin American Studies)
While in law school, Alexandra worked with the USC Immigration Clinic and successfully represented a political asylum applicant before the U.S. Immigration Court. In 2004-05, she lived and worked in Mexico as a Fulbright Scholar analyzing transnational human trafficking. Prior to joining our firm, Alexandra had three years of experience practicing civil litigation in the areas of corporate, environmental, and employment law. She also regularly teaches an LSAT preparation course at the University of San Diego.

PERSONAL:
Alexandra grew up in Los Angeles with her parents and four siblings. She enjoys travel, tennis, cooking, and yoga. Alexandra and her husband, David Shirk, reside in Hillcrest with their dog Tosca. They spend leisure time visiting Mexico and other parts of Latin America.
